How to deal with a parent trying to mooch off you?

Yeah I feel you man. My dad is cursed when it comes to handling money. I always had to loan him money when he's in trouble.

My mother went up to me one day and said you have to be a man and stand up for yourself. I took her advice and said "no I don't have it" one day and he's got the message ever since.

Whenever i go home, my dad asks me to bring him a case of beer (yuengling, troegs, etc) We always get into an argument cause he insists on paying me back the money for it. Sometimes I get tired of arguing and just take it. Its even a struggle for him to let me pay for dinner when we go out with my mother. So I could never imagine my father asking me to borrow money

Finished paying my loans, just got a new job that pays well and these nikkas already holding their hands out talking about $600 a month for rent.

I'll never look at them the same.

Meanwhile these dudes are buying a new 60 inch TV for a living room that none of us even watch TV in and doing renovations to the kitchen and shyt just so they can floss in front of guests. Cant be bothered. I'll give them the bread but once I save enough to move out they aint shyt to me.

I am sure nikka felt the same way when your punk ass used to ask him for playstations, Jordan's and all the other shyt you liked as a kid. Help the nikka out and buy him his new TV or at least drop some money for it and explain how things are tight for you at current.

OP didnt ask to be born though did he? If youre going to selfishly bring a child into this world you should at least do what you can to make his or her experience pleasurable.

You may have an idea that the money aint for a TV. if you think he's being sincere and you want to help, offer to help him shop for a good deal and say you'll kick in a certain amount.
