How to deal with future in-laws coming over for a week?

They're getting work done on their house this week.

Plus they were coming to see my kid anyway, and they were going to stay in a hotel. Until I opened my big ass mouth and hinted that they could stay with us for the week. (I said it to be nice, I figured they'd turn it down)

Mom loves me to death.
Dad is a hater, and never really tries to socialize, I'm also stubborn and I don't kiss ass. How does this work, and what should I expect?
