Damn, $5 is rough. I would say buy ground beef or a small pack of some chicken thighs. Get some white rice and canned veggies. You're probably going over if you buy the thighs though.

Like someone else said, buy that processed shyt in a can and you'll meet the goal.

When i was struggling i used to just eat eggs. They're like 3 dollars a dozen. Six eggs more than enough for one day. And you can supplement with a little dollar yogurt, some oats, or some cheap fruit/veggies.

Idk if this would keep you under 5 a meal, but buying shyt like:
canned Tuna
Eggs
Bulk chicken breast
Bulk rice
Cheap veggies
Olive oil

Buying shyt like that should keep your meals fairly inexpensive. And eating like that will be more sustainable for the longterm if thats your goal.

And if you eat more then one meal a day just switch to one meal and go buy some asian food. Fr. You get a plate of chicken, rice, and veggies for under ten bucks. All you really need to survive.
