Not really. You can buy fresh greens and veggies/fruits for under a dollar, chicken in bulk, fish is pretty expensive though if you're looking for the wild caught organic type, and just drink water. Also, there are plenty of marked down items and poultry/meats with "Managers Special" coupons on them where you can easily save 3-5 bucks. Going to markets are pretty cheap too. I go to coop markets and save a whole lot.
just googled this

Theyre a hidden gem, a lot of people tend to waste they time with Whole Foods and Trader Joe's for some reason. I buy organic skin stuff from them, I recently bought a papaya body butter 100% natural for 3 bucks. And all the stuff is locally grown.

I spend $200 on groceries a month. Cook nikka!
what do you usually get?

This

It's hard to put it on a per meal basis, you're better off grocery shopping, cooking and assembling meals that way. I'm about $80 per week, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and that's cooking and brown bagging for lunches.
what type of foods do you buy?

Here's a typical grocery list of what I'll buy for the week:

Citrus fruit
Bananas
Cereal (hot or cold), toast, or English muffin
Almond milk
Loaf of bred
Bag of spinach (I use this for my sandwiches instead of lettuce, it's better for you)
Deli meat
Chips
Yogurt
Soda
Water
Ground turkey, salmon, chicken breast, steak, etc.
Random veggies (fresh and/or frozen, depends on what's on sale for the week)
Kale (can be cheaper than lettuce and much better for you)

It's all a matter of how much time you're wanting to spend preparing your meals every time you're eating. That and join a savings club w/ the local grocery story, this allows for fluctuation with what's on sale etc.that you can mix your meals up. Just remember, when you buy processed food, you're usually paying for the convenience, but it's almost usually the most unhealthy.
