And the reason it wont happen in your lifetime is because you've accepted it.
Ok, enough with this ultra naive, platitudinous, self help, moral orel nonsense.
You're seriously sitting here telling somebody that racism wont end in their lifetime because they didn't scrunch their nose up, cross their fingers and believe really hard, whilst heavily implying that racism will go away if black people eat right and don't smoke?
"Eat your greens, turn off the tv and the legacy of Jim Crow plus the systematic and continued disenfranchisement of millions will fade away."
The implication itself is offensive and ironically justifies the prejudice that racists show, as if they're only racist as a result of media propaganda and as a response to perceived flaws in the characters of black people when that's clearly not the case and is only the superficial manifestation of deeper rooted prejudice.
You talk like you're completely blind to the lessons of history, blind to how racism is embedded into the deepest roots of American social infrastructure.
The legacy of racial discrimination in America is bigger than black people. If you have failed to understand this then no matter how good your intentions, no matter what answers you think you may have you can't meaningfully contribute to this conversation.
Talk to or read up on any black historian worth their salt and you'll be confronted with the very real possibility that black people may ultimately be discriminated against for as long as America may exist. That thought is terrifying to countenance but anybody that's unwilling to face or understand it shouldn't be making threads like this and haranguing people for not having the answers.
