Unique content along with seo(search engine optimization determines your rankings in search engines) to generate traffic. Once you get traffic you can offer membership with perks or offer advert space or use google adsense. Your content is most important.

I'll be deadass honest though, making money from blogs to make a living is an extremely difficult task. You are better off getting a real job to make a living from and operating that blog as a hobby.
