I think breh is referring to ad revenue or something. Which probably won’t be anything if she don’t have decent traffic. I would assume that an e-commerce store would be mainly focused on generating sales of products they offer.

Do what @CarbonBraddock said and look into Adsense. You are gonna have to generate traffic to make money from ads. Then I think it’s per click. All visitors not gonna click ads, only a small percentage. So the more visitors the better. One way you can try and generate traffic is a blog. Whatever products she sells, you can make simple blog post about that type of stuff. Wix should have an option to ad a blog. I’m not an expert so you gotta do the research on how to generate traffic, and get with Adsense

The question should be, how do I bring additional value to the site. Go find out what the people buying hair stuff are also interested in and offer them that on the side. Shouldn’t be hard if you create a blog or Facebook group about hair and accessories and let the traffic come to you. Let your expert friend create a YouTube channel on the hair stuff to build an audience to the site. Consistently doing these things and you should have no problem monetizing ads and referrals.
