I think it's hilarious both sides of the trap coin aren't entirely aware of eachother.

Calling this trap is embarrassing as a hiphop fan. The trap sound has been one of the best things about hiphop sonically in years and these (trying so hard not to say cacs) people straight up take the name.

OP likes Death Grips, Danny Brown, Vic Mensa and Yung Lean :pachaha:

:umad: Go post in your thread about how Death Grips ripped off B L A C K I E'S soundcloud-core ass despite sounding not a thing a like him.

When in reality it's CLIPPING who sounds (not to mention logo/typography wise also) exactly like that talentless, crying fukk.

and Vic Mensa, Danny Brown are :lawd: your blasphemy is killing me.

:dahell:Brehs is this for real????!!!!!

I know the Trap sound is being used in Pop Music & EDM, but I'm shocked they would actually use the word "Trap" knowing how the word originated:

People treat Trap like an electronic genre, not a hip-hop, one primarily due to the fact it's synth based, and not percussion based.

Which is why like other genres in electronic music you see a lot of microgenres or fusion genres, such as minimal house or Trap Step.

People treat trap like an electronic genre because it IS electronic music. These new atlanta producers like metro boomin and London on da track are making full on EDM.

"Trap" producers and ATL producers are using the same pirated DAWs, with the same cracked VSTs, and the same 808 samples.

Difference is one producer caters to the frat house ultra crowd while the other is made for the strip clubs.

point is, It's not about trap being the seed for countless Micro genres.

It's about a genre with 20+ years of culture and history being vultured by a group of people who are acting like they stumbled unto something new and exciting. (Damn some where'D you find this!).

other examples would be the recent resurgence of deep house or the advent future screw or future funk. (Which is just the same old shyt drenched in reverb)
