One piece of advice I got from a high school teacher: never stop reading. No matter where we are in life reading helps keep us calm and thinking critically. I know a lot of people these days have poor reading skills. If youre one of them the practice helps. If not your mind will be improved. Fiction and non fiction

Edit: im listening to my mom teach my cousin to read now(she inexplicably has not learned in school, we blacks cant trust the system) its such a beautiful thing.

How old is your cousin? There's no excuse in 2016 for someone to not know how to read and write, especially if you have been through some sort of schooling.

climbing and conquering and falling and building is a surefire way to become numb to what you are supposed to be
just take it easy and enjoy everything for what it is... the good and the bad. You might not get your piece of the pie, but there's another delivery coming ... or you could buy an oven. Sometimes you got half the ingredients and you need to keep them fresh until you find something with the other half. Dont rush a masterpiece. Learn that no one gives a fukk about your emotions. And you shouldn't either. People are self-centered anyway. I'm not saying be like a robot, but just make it so it about the other ppl's emotions, and playing them however you want. Be the one to point out that the fukkboy is acting, well, like an emotional fukkboy (this one's actually fun ). Flatter bytches, and learn how to flip their negative emotions into positive ones. Keep a cool head in tense and problematic situations. Let everybody else get salty and frazzled about what just happened, while you stay thinking about the next move to fix what happened. You can't fix the past anyway, the only thing you can affect is the future. fukk regrets, turn that into action.
