If I was coming to Atlanta from out of town, I would stay in a hotel in the Perimeter area (Dunwoody)

It's pretty safe to hit the MLK Museum during the day, Coke a Cola Headquarters, Porsche Experience, and then you got a few walkable retail areas that are tourist friendly. Those are Atlantic Station, and The Beltline. Try walking up Stone Mountain too if you are into that hiking shyt.
That perimeter area dope as hell. I prefer buckhead though

Im from clayco and i dont go home unless i need to. This is really sad how trapped out/rachet atlanta (well the black parts of atlanta) has become over the years.

alotta shyt is paranoia though. you move like you got some sense and you'll be fine.

Zone 6 via PG County
Flat Shoals and Glenwood is East Atlanta Village lol. It's an arts and performance corridor that's been gentrified for over a decade

Brookhaven and Smyrna for "Hipster" lifestyles? :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Ok breh. I respectfully disagree with damn near everything in this post.
I’m talking about the people that live there, and I’m being facetious by calling them “hipsters.” A lot of young, white professionals live in those areas. Most of my white coworkers when I first moved to Atlanta lived in those areas, for whatever reason.

I’m not sure what there is to disagree with about Atlanta not being as centralized. Between Ponce City Market, Downtown, Midtown, Cobb/Battery, Krog Street Market, and the Perimeter/Dunwoody area… you can find stuff to do all over the place. Not to mention they’re throwing up Mixed-use developments all over the metro area. Unless you’re going to Atlanta to go to the clubs or to do the first time visitor stuff like Coca-Cola Factory, CNN Center, MLK center, etc… you don’t HAVE TO stay downtown.

Damn Atlanta was a paradise back in the early to mid 2000s. I used to love visiting family down there. Fukk happened?
07/08 recession wiped out a lot of Black wealth and home ownership in the ATL metro. ATL was known for solid, middle class households but now it's mainly known for singles, strippers, rappers and scammers. Black families used to see it as the place to be but now many Black families would choose the DMV or other southern states to raise their kids.

Fa Sho that's a sista bringing Change I can believe it. We need to protect her like most coli heads do these rappers. Will I raise my future family in Atlanta ? Hell naw. It's good for undergrad and grad school.

The genuine culture the southern elders who came up shar cropping , the life lessons is almost gone. I don't consider rappers and street culture something to be proud of as a young black man.
fukk them c00n ass Georgia politicians including Fani Willis. They are white supremacy in black face and do nothing to change or not enforce the racist laws on the book. Atlanta got to be the only major city still arresting nikkas for very small amounts of weed. Even a crumb and you're going to jail. Go to jail for a petty suspended license or expired tags. fukk Atlanta and fukk Georgia :pacspit:

Im pretty sure atlanta decriminalized weed under 1 ounce. Its not an arrestable offense anymore just a $75 fine.
