Just be casual about it. Try talking to her about something briefly and then when you're leaving, tell her to hit YOU up. Give her your number on a receipt or something. Don't worry about what other people are thinking. They don't really care unless one of them likes her. Either way, this leaves it up to her to hit you up. If she hits you up then you know it's good. If not, then.. oh well. At least she didn't have a chance to reject in public.

This new spot opened and I was hitting it off with the counter girl but didn't want to make a move with her boss there and shyt. i never understood the "cold call". if you have to ask how to do it, then you were probably never given/never had the opportunity by her. talking to women and asking them out should be natural and not so premeditated. if she's not throwing you some type of signs (and like a guy said earlier, she's also working so she has to be friendly) then all you're probably relying on is your dikk to tell you what's good with the situation. if i listened to my dikk all the time, i'd be in hella trouble often. it works for some, but i realize it just me projecting my desires and not me observing the subject's (the woman in question) queues
