How to Upscale your PS4 to 4K via Xbox One S

What's a good example of a 4K tv that's suited towards this new 4K shyt in terms of playing Ps4/X1 games?
I'm gonna have to get one eventually if I'm going to cop both upgraded systems, I'd like to atleast know what I should be looking for if I gotta replace my telly as well.

I bought a 60 inch Samsung KS8000 series after reading this guide. Low input lag WITH HDR enabled. The input lag goes to shyt with a lot of 4K sets when you have HDR enabled. The KS8000 series only goes up very slightly.

If you don't care about HDR, then there are lots of sets available. RTings is a great site to research TVs.

Is scaling the latest console trend? Unless his TV scaler is exceptionally poor this is redundant.

Compound the fact that its still scaling. Even the easy job the quad pixel count gives the hardware it'll never be as good as real 4K.

if 4k TV's didn't upscale, 1080p content would have huge black bars around it. the X1s might have a better upscaler, but saying 4k TV's don't upscale is stupid

so if u have a 4k tv that upscales automatically what is the point of having a X1S and using the 4k UHD input ? on my vizio 4k tv from 2015 1080p looks better than 4k UHD its weird so in my eyes its pointless even on my old OG Xbox one 1080p looked better than 4k on the xbox one S shyt seems pointless to me

Shut up you don't even know what you are talking about... Do you even have a 4k television? The difference is noticeable, I have a 4k TV and Xbox one original and Xbox One S. The One S upscaler is better than the TV breh. You don't even know what you talking about. Microsoft just put a upscaler in the system for fun huh.

nahhh breh i usually give fatboy shyt but he right unless these vizio 4k tvs are trash and i need to switch brands 4k on the vizio i got dont look better than 1080p on the One S or the Reg xbox One so i feel like i wasted money for no reason getting this X1 shoulda just stuck with the OG till scorpio or maybe we just gotta wait for the games that are made with 4k in mind like gears 4 etc etc

What do you mean? Your upscaled output will never look as good as native.

The point of upscaling is to make a stretched image look less shytty. The algorithms can go beyond simple nearest neighbor scaling and usually employ other visual enhancements like sharpening to try and improve the stretched image.

The point of the Xbox upscaling is probably its algorithm. It may also employ better anti-aliasing.

Why something looks better than the other again may come down to what scales what. The TV upscaler probably does certain things better and the media player vice versa.

Lastly, it will never look as good as native. Keep that in mind before you get swept up in upscaled nonsense.
