Yea lift and coast is the way no go. Low gears for towing and downhill descents however. You don't need to do this on flat surface especially if your transmission is not cooled through a regulatorI avoid using my breaks whenever possible. I drive automatic but use the lower gears to slow down. Wifey clowns me for it but I know I'm right.
