Problem with Miami for me is there is no separation of wealth. You can live in Coconut Grove and right across US 1 is Little Haiti
. You can't tell who's actually about their business or who's just another club promoter, manager at *insert clothing store*, 30K millionaire with a leased 3-5 year old luxury vehicle. It's a cool place to play for a week or two but actually live and potentially raise a family?

It depends on where you live in Miami. Avoid places like North Miami, Lil Haiti, Carol City, Overtown, part of Hialeah and you should be good.
Miami gardens and South of downtown Miami around the Kendall area is pretty expensive. Miami Beach or a condo Downtown if you have that type of money

Simply not true. The so called hoods in Seattle are an absolute joke. I'm not worried about walking around late at night here, but in Miami I wouldn't even entertain it in most parts. Crime is not created equally in major cities.
