I think this shyt is still a couple years away but will be here sooner than we think. Perhaps wit the next gen or gen ager that it will be implemented efficently. Ive seen some cool vids using a buncha material for it that look expensive as fukk. If i had the bread id love to try it.

But seriously, I think for VR to really take off it has to offer an experience on par with what we currently have.
like I said, the experiences are very different though. I know it's kinda cliché, but you really have to try it to understand. it's hard to explain why a game like Job Simulator would be any fun

a lot of these VR games would be pretty simple and boring if you played them with a controller. but the fact that you're basically inside the game, and can interact with objects in a very natural way, brings it to another level. in Vanishing Realms you're walking around a dark dungeon with a torch in your hand. the 1:1 tracking of your body (well really your head), and the controllers, makes it incredibly immersive. moving around with a controller, and "press X to use your torch", wouldn't be nearly as interesting

Eye tracking needs to happen soon :wow:
it would also be cool if they could figure out a way to let you focus on objects at different distances. I'm not sure how that would be possible though

TYRONE GA!
The prices will ultimately come down, as all tech generally does. Hell, the OG NES debuted at around $700. Now you can download it for free on your phone.

The prices are high because this is literally First Gen technology. Once they make the headsets wireless and the graphics higher fidelity it will be a wrap. I give it about 4-5 years before it become truly mainstream.

OG NES was not 700 when it came out stateside , I know because I got one for Christmas
