How was Carmelo Anthony on that top 75 list but not TMAC?

I like the way Gilbert Arenas ranked the players. You should throw out team accomplishments like championships or deep playoff runs. Top 75 should strictly be based off individual stats and accolades. McGrady being all-nba 7x selections meant he was at least a top 15 player in an era where his position saw a premium of talent. Injuries robbed him of 20,000 points. Now comparing that to Melo who only has 6 All-NBA selections I would lean McGrady 10/10 times.

Mac is my favorite player but if I told you someone who never got out the first round, blew a 3-0 lead in a series, was injured half of his career, and played 6 teams you wouldn’t put him in the top 75 either

For T Mac to have poor longevity he still made All NBA 7 times compared to Melo’s 6. Melo made more All star appearances but All NBA is considered more prestigious than All Star selections.

Also T Mac at his peak and during his prime was better than Melo.

Melo was drafted in 2003. We are going to be in 2023 next year and he’s yet to even play in the finals.

Melo was kicked out the league.. no team wanted him. He literally had to go on a national tv campaign to get a roster spot at an age where he shouldve still been an allstar.

From 2003-2022 Melo’s game hasnt changed AT ALL. He’s still a one dimensional chuck.
