Them Lo Lifes...
So for some reason I found myself searching for the "Ice Froggy Frog" video today. Watching it made me think about how east coast cats was really shytting on the west coast via film. For Chris Rock to make CB4 when he's from NYC makes no sense to me. For The Wayans to make "Don't Be A Menace...." when they was from NYC also made no sense to me. I know Don't Be A Menace was just making fun of west coast movies but still. I don't know how they was able to get away with it while living in L.A. Nobody even tripped off of it and the west coast supported both films. Eazy-E and Ice-T even appeared in CB4.
Cuz niccas are not so high strung as the East and the fact of the matter. Nobody gave a fukk.

Why do YOU think there should be such a uproar?

Never really looked at Don't Be A Menace as mocking the west. It was just hood comedy IMO. No different than Friday.

What people don't mention enough is that between 89-95, the West Coast pretty much defined mainstream hip hop. NWA, Ice T, Hammer, Snoop and Dre, Boyz N The Hood, Menace, gangs, 40's, lowriders etc etc

So it looks like NY cats clowning the west, but they were really just clowning what mainstream hip hop was at the time....

Thanks for contributing to my thread breh.

Anytime but your premise dosen't make any sense, your comparing comedians to rappers.

That's lie saying who is better between Aaron Rodgers and Ghostface since they both entertainers:yeshrug:

Not really. Comedians are still from the culture. Kevin Hart came from hip hop culture.
