Waves are not corny & never will be.

Women still love them - but I love that Black men are embracing our natural hair and all these ancient African braid styles.

I grew my hair during the pandemic, now I'm back with the waves
My wife wants me to cut my locs and get my 360s back, but I'm not :sas2:

They not entirely corny. Just if you still do the entire head like that instead of fading it a bit.
For example, this looks straight out of 2004 imo

.
But this looks more modern and respectible.

I guess basically what i mean is, waves are a texture, not a hairstyle. You still gotta do something with the lineup and shape up. Just doing 360wave version of theo huxable line isn't it.

The slick, heavy on the pomade waves like the first photo never looks good to me. I don't think it needs to be faded it's just the second one looks more natural.

nothing but respect for dudes who rock waves because that’s hard ass hair style to attain and maintain. The dudes who be having the neat crown with flawless connections. That take work the hardest hairstyle to get because anybody can have braids or dreads or a Afro.

Just because locs/dreads/braids are the wave doesn't mean waves became corny.

Exactly.

A short ceaser with the waves will NEVER go out of style because its a style that literally ANY black man can easily achieve.

When most brehs get tired of the natty dread/locs/Fro wave they ALWAYS go back to the low cut.

It was considered corny by the time I started high school in 2011. I remember coming back to school after summer vacation in 2012 with a short curly afro with a taper for the first time and literally every other black guy in the school got the same haircut over the break lol. Things changed overnight.

Even though dreads and braids have been popular for a while now, it seems like waves have started to get popular again in the past few years. I actually started waving again a couple of months ago and got a skin fade

Waves >>>>> I had the braids. The hack a chunk of hair off toward the right, completely shave ball the back of some of today isn't my wave and will never be. I get a haircut every damn week.

I feel more in tune clean sneakers or timbs, chinos jeans and RL polo.
