Waves are not easy to get or maintain. Applaud any breh that rocks them.
That look is not just exclusively from heavy pomade use, that look can be achieved easily naturally by two 20 minute sessions a day for two or three month straightThe slick, heavy on the pomade waves like the first photo never looks good to me. I don't think it needs to be faded it's just the second one looks more natural.

Ngl, that shyt kinda weak to me now. They never got corny. Longer hair is just in now.
Op is aI’ve been thinkin bout this
It seems like locs/braids is the wave now. And brehs not really carin bout cuts fr anymore.
Is it a mix of the pandemic and barbers raising prices making crisp 360s take more work/money to upkeep?
Cause highkey them shyts is like a staple hairstyle in the AA community I feel like we losing some of our sauce by labeling them as old/corny
Y’all think it’s just a trend or has our community completely turned its back on these![]()
nothing but respect for dudes who rock waves because that’s hard ass hair style to attain and maintain. The dudes who be having the neat crown with flawless connections. That take work the hardest hairstyle to get because anybody can have braids or dreads or a Afro.
waves are timeless and not corny. I do think dudes can end up being wave-nerds tho. Like anything, there's dudes that become "nerds" for stuff. Like these sneaker-nerds or even hiphop "nerds".
oddly enough the corniest people i come across all have these french-fry blowout haircuts.
