How/when did waves/360s become “corny”?

Brian Pumper waves are corny. If it look like you use 3 different creams and pull your doorag out of a shrine before you wrap your head it's corny

I know young dudes 18-22 still maintaining the wave life. It will always be clean look no matter the generation. It will never be corny but it has lost some luster due to dreads and due to followers of the “science” of waves.

Cause highkey them shyts is like a staple hairstyle in the AA community I feel like we losing some of our sauce by labeling them as old/corny
