The whole point of this discussion was people demanding Biden do Executive Orders even though the courts would strike them down.

The point was congress didn’t want to do anything on the upcoming eviction crisis and the White House was fine with that until Bush’s protest. That’s what you are mischaracterizing.

Same thing with the eviction moratorium. Biden and Pelosi said that the president couldn't extend it unilaterally, and it had to be an act of congress. And people complained nonstop that they were just cruel, heartless establishment Dems who didn't want to help people. So Biden signs an executive order and the Supreme Court blocked it, saying an extension did in fact have to be an act of congress.

And then the same people complaining got real quiet.

Oh well that was different

This time it will definitely work. The political scholars said in theory its full proof and the millions of lives that will be impacted by this decision should rest well knowing there is 0% chance this doesn’t go as planned

Before the eviction moratorium expired, the complaint was "Biden needs to extend it via Executive Order because Congress can't pass it, and if he won't he's choosing not to":






Then the narrative switched to, "Well, he should do it anyway so we can buy some time while the courts sort it out."




So, yes, the critique was the Biden should have used an executive order.

I don't know why y'all even entertain these guys with this shyt.

During the end of the Obama administration and throughout the Trump administration they routinely criticized the executive branch going around congress and consolidating power.

Now their entire schtick is about why Biden isn't doing more to usurp the legislative branch.

The goal isn't to actually meet some egalitarian solution. It's just merely to advance their agenda.

. The governor literally vetoed a bill that would have got gig workers more pay and protections, all because he got punked by Uber and didn't want to call their bluff.
