Lakers had already won 2 str8 at that point, Dallas needed shine. Dallas winning the West in 2011 was best for business, the league did no rigging that year.

They always forget that LeBron himself said he would rather lose earlier or miss the playoffs entirely than lose in the Finals

Cavs dropped last 2 games to extend the series for the league. Spurs dropped the Thunder series for the same reason they did last season — to keep from embarrassing Curry and his team.
