Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
nikkas in here straight up disrespecting one of the GOAT teams ever :scust:

Catch yall in the morning

Nah, that Pistons team isn't one of the GOAT teams, they had an all-time great defense but their offense was absolutely terrible.

This is not a matchup they'd want, they went 7 with the Nets with the teams averaging 86ppg and 83ppg. You aren't holding the Warriors to under 95ppg in a series no matter how great your defense is, there will be slippage and break downs that lead to open threes.

They get destroyed by the bench plus they have no real offensive weapons to match Golden State's elite (But obviously nowhere near Detroit) defense too.

The Warriors also MURDER teams that have any offensive liabilities and you're gonna see Draymond pretty much roaming the floor because Wallace ain't doing anything but catching lobs and getting hustle boards.

As elite of a defender as Billups is, Curry has made guys like Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Conley, etc. look like they weren't there.

Dudes aren't really getting it yet but the fact that the Warriors are so good at shooting threes that turning the game into a defensive grind fest just doesn't work because the pace they play at offensively and how dangerous the three is.
A healthy and focused Warriors defense is mostly definitely on the same level as that '04 Pistons squad. They had the best defensive rating last season while playing at the fastest pace, which is quite literally unheard of. That Pistons squad gave up 95 pp100p while playing with roughly 88 offensive possessions per game; the Warriors gave up 101 pp100p while playing with roughly 98 offensive possessions per game. 10 more offensive possessions per game, yet the Warriors only gave up six more points per 100 posessions. Draymond, Bogut, Barnes, Iggy, Klay, Ezeli and Livingston as individuals and as a unit more than match the Pistons.

I can see that. The Warriors have a great team defense that can absolutely destroy weaker teams and cause them to lose their will early.

I compare all time great defenses by how I think they'd match up at stopping all time great offenses more than how they smash through teams in the regular season which is why I hold those big 3 Celtics among the best defenses ever.

I think those Pistons match up better against the historically great offensive teams better so they get the nod but the Warriors shut me up before so I could be agreeing with you in a month or two.

Yeah I don't think Pistons can score enough honestly. Billups can try slowing curry down but they putting rip on klay? That's a big mismatch. Rasheed would get his but Wallace is a huge liability on offense. Warriors stretch him out or even use hack a Wallace if they wanted.

Celtics 08 or 96 Bulls or Early 2000s Lakers would be an interesting matchup for them
