tha self titled album wuz his magnum opus
it didn't get as much credit as his later work from casual fans, because unlike Cube's early work, Spice hadn't established a buzz yet
but u can go back and listen to that first album even now and be like
thats how u know its a timeless classic and his best work

That's the main difference between then and now, you could hear the pain and the conflict of the gangsta nikka/hustler in the lyrics but people considered it glorifying a lifestyle, now the shyt that's out blatantly glorifies bullshyt but fukk it now it ain't that serious to bytch about for them fools.

Yeah, that's why it's so hard to rank his catalog because Spice 1 was constantly releasing great music. It's hard to say if certain albums of his from the 90's were better were better than other because the music was just that great.
