Like there are different types of comedy. Atlanta, Abbott Elementary is a type. Some might even call that "white humor". (Btw I love both of those shows so Im not taking shots) Martin, is a different type of comedy. Fresh Prince is another. To me, Living Single humor wise is more like Fresh Prince type of black humor/satire. Agree or diagree?

I think shows like Atlanta & Abbott, even Black-ish are Black shows meant for cross-over appeal. Quinta used to work at Buzzfeed, and Donald Glover on Community & other things, so they already had a mixed audience.

The Living Singles, Martins, Jamie Foxx Shows etc, were Black shows for Black people, and the rest of the world was intrigued. :yeshrug:

I see what you saying. Living Single was more relatable to all types of viewers than something like Martin for example. Black culture and black issues were there but their lives in general was the main focus. Like Fresh Prince

I feel you. So with your reasoning I'm assuming your putting Fresh Prince in the category of black shows for Black people?

Living Single can't really be categorized as just a sitcom. It was a sitcom with elements of drama and a little soap opera as well. But I would say most good sitcoms are a mix of these.

I don’t know if I can say living single is a fresh prince type of sitcom, living single is more like girlfriends, fresh prince seems more so like good times even though I don’t necessarily fukk with good times

It’s a sitcom. Situational Comedy. We were mostly meant to laugh at the different situations we found them in.
