How would you have ended The Wire?

To be honest, I thought it ended very well, I liked the cyclical nature of the shows ending. Sort of showing that things always stay the same.

I'm not even gonna try even though I would like to scrap and make a do over with season 5. The Wire is too complex for me to make up a custom final season.

One thing I'd really change though is put in Marlo's demise like someone else said. He escapes the law but gets gunned down in the streets by some no names.

My biggest complaint was that they introduced Megatron and had him try to clean up West Baltimore. I mean, I know he switched sides, but this was stretching it. Optimus Prime giving him the thumbs up in the background was kind of cheesy.

I don't know, I thought it was pretty cool when Slim Charles called in Brother Mouzone to take out Megatron and Optimus Prime. Now that was an epic battle, when Mouzone put a gun to Megatron's head, and Megatron whispered in his his metallic voice, "it's all in the game", I almost cried.

I wouldn't change season 5 for better or worse, id start season 6 right where 5 left off, but 3 years later....

some things i'd include



Marlo getting back in the game, but not lasting long due to the pending case, leading to his trial and all the dirt with it getting exposed in court, including Mc Nulty and Freemon being indicted, and every person that benefitted from it exposed, including Carcetti, Pearlman, Daniels and Scott Templeton

the young black reporter eats real good off this


Lt. Carver and some of the lesser known cops forming a new major crimes unit with Slim Charles/ Fat face Rick being the targets and making major waves but getting shut down because of the scandal



Namond following in Bunny's footsteps and becoming a cop, in fact have the season start off with him at Jessup having an awkward conversation with Weebay, but for the first time he stands up for himself and tells him he is going to do it, and Weebay accepts this because this is the first time he sees heart from him

mike and dukie meeting in the streets, far from how they used to be neither not remembering what it was like to actually be happy

Bubbles getting exposed and killed for being a snitch by Spiders crew , Kima the lead detective on his case

Id end it with randy and Kenard meeting in a juvenile facility, becoming the new stringer and Avon but more Marlo style

I dont know, but Slim Charles was an interesting character, and I woulds liked to see how he ran the corners in the new season... they coulda kept the Wire going at least a couple more seasons

And no offense to anybody but thank God some of yall ain't TV writers.

Dookie being a junkie works. It just does. Why? Because it's fukking terrible, and real life ain't always happy. Same goes for Bodie dying, or Marlo living. Life is random, and "The Wire" is supposed to be an accurate reflection of life in the city.

I thought every aspect of season 5 was good, except the fake serial killer shyt. That is the WOAT story line, hands down. If you guys can work around that, and still maintain the rest of the season, it would be

I don't mind the fake killer plot so much but with kima turning them in I don't like . Her indignation was kind of silly mcnulty using a broken system to get police work done he even is the reason bunk can get that DNA on Chris .
I like the idea of him and Freemon outsmarting everyone then failing maybe its a better way to execute it . Dookie mike getting snoop mcnulty getting taken down by kima not so much . Anyone like that angle ?

I know they ending was good. The newspaper part was ok But fukk herc and kima they fukked up my boys styling on them moment .
One of My favorite part of the show is still watching mikes development . When he fought for randy and they break up the fight and he's all bloody laughing mike lee the god brehs. I wound mind seeming him in a runaways movie or playing kaldur in some young justice movie.
