How would you personally define poverty?

it's levels, but in general, no steady income to support yourself where you live at (no apartment/house, living in your car, taking showers at planet fitness, buying 50 cent chips is a struggle, etc.)

then you got kensington and skid row, which is literally some other shyt, laid eyes on both locations visiting and :hubie: imma leave it at that

I live in SE DC - As poor and as rough as it is (especially compared to my old spot in NW) - it doesn't compare to the poverty I've seen in Brazil or Cambodia.

We had a homeless guy camp out in our vestibule. That's annoying but also disheartening - but it's not acres and acres of Shanty Towns.

Having to wash with a bucket and a rag.
Out door plumbing / Have to use an out house
Not having hot water
No form of A/C or heating
No type of car or public transportation that is reliable
Not having wifi
Not having good cell phone reception
Power goes out randomly because you are on a bad grid
Having to wash clothes by hand and dry them outside
