How Would You Rank The Mass Appeal 'Legend Has It' Series ?

- De La Soul (Cabin In The Sky) - from intro to ending, quintessential De La with cool skits, thought provoking lyrics, strong production and good album sequencing. RIP Dave
- Ghostface Killah (Supreme Clientele 2) - not like Supreme clientele 1, but strong beats, good energy from GFK.
- Slick Rick (surprise guest, album Victory) - so good to hear Rick. Songs like Landlord speak to growth but also showcase his wut and humor. I like the diversity of songs.
- Nas & DJ Premier (collaborative album Light-Years) - lyrics, flow and concepts are tight. Production not so much.
- Big L (Harlem's Finest: Return Of The King) - mostly old material and collabs that prolly never would've happened in real life
- Mobb Deep (Infinite) - production and lyrics are cool just nothing really moving. RIP P
- Raekwon (The Emperor's New Clothes)

De La Soul - easily the best...classic as fukk...production, songs, skits, concepts..shyt gave me legit chills listening
Mobb Deep - the album i played the most this year..i was never satisfied that mobb deep didn't get the proper sendoff as a group they deserved...and it restored the feelings..it felt like a mobb album..hav and alc did p's vocals justice..and shoutout to the noyd feature which hadn't been seen since amerikaz nightmare
Nas - its a very good album..preme was shaky at first but delivered by the end of the album..nas was spittin spittin on this album
Rae - i loved this album, Rae was still sounding vintage..the production wasn't as crazy as i hoped it would be but the flows carried it
Slick Rick - i fukked with this album..it was something different for someone 40 years in the game. my only complaint is its just too short. i wanted to hear more from mc ricky d
Ghost - Ghost was the last Wu member to truly fall off musically long after the Wu as a group did..he put a real consistent string of great/classic releases well into the 2000s and 2010s..had high hopes for a sequel to a bonafide classic. very disappointed. It just seemed like it was just a bunch of shyt thrown together under the guise of SC2...it was like the nas album it got better as the album progressed..if he gave the album a different name, i prolly would have taken it for what it was better
Big L - this one i didnt have any high hopes for. the last time i heard any truly unreleased Big L joints was like 20 years ago....i was hoping for a few gems that might have been in a vault somehwere...with that being said it had a few high spots...the one lone big l solo joint as well as the collabs with nas,meth, and mcgruff...it needed either mase and cam or his ditc crew on some of these joints for a more vintage L project..i get that nas did this in order for big l's estate to generate some money on..L was my fav rapper..i hope this closes his chapter properly

Slightly too soon for me, but at the moment:
Mobb Deep - Infinite. Album is pretty much perfect to me.
Nas & Premo or De La - excellent albums that both have 1 or 2 songs which I could live without.
Ghostface - a bit all over the place, which I actually think they could've created a dope theme around with the Ironman shyt (time travelling). Still dope as fukk
Slick Rick - really good, slightly too short and while I love the creativity some of those songs don't do much for me.
