Real talk I thought transgendered was when you were born with ovaries and a penis or some shyt like that. Transsexual is when you get grown and get opposite parts via surgery or just dress up as the opposite gender.

I don't know how I would feel. I would except my child because I love them and want them to be happy… but on the other hand I would be disappointed and hurt.

I want my kids to be happy but in a healthy way. People love to quote stats talking about how suicidal and unhappy trans-gendered teens are but they presuppose that the reason is that they aren't accepted by society. That ignores the fact that more than half the people that get sex change surgeries regret it and more than half of those that get it don't report feeling any better about themselves. You know who does? The folks that get some real help and finally realize that yes, you are a man. I want my kid to be truly happy. Confusion about who they are isn't going to make that happen
