How would you react to a surprise plane ticket as a gift?

I wanted to surprise my mom on Mother’s Day and give her some plane tickets to Las Vegas this August (she always wanted to go) and I was going to book her a hotel there and everything.

I just wanted to know if this is a great idea? Or should I get her a plane voucher instead so she can choose the date herself?

I wanted to plan the trip for the weekend because she is usually free and don’t do anything except shopping and visiting my cousins and aunts.

If you're dead set on the "surprise" part, I'd just do the travel voucher (and hotel voucher).
