I need your help,I started getting stick drift on my right thumb stick months ago,I just stopped using it,and found out I'm now out of warranty,but I seen on Xbox they released an update to calibrate or change your dead zones to dead zones and supposedly fix the stick drift problem,I just have no idea what settings I'm supposed to use on right stick to fix it,it lets me pick from 4 settings and then their radial calculation,I don't know what none of this shyt means

Alot of people are experiencing stick drift,I have it on my right thumbstick,where it starts drifting and aiming up on its own,supposedly its becuz it has real small and sensitive dead zones so they released patch so you can configure it on your own,I just have no idea what it does when I mess with the settings

Just to let you know I finally went to Walmart,they let me exchange my elite for a new one I told them I got it as a gift a few weeks ago and I don't have receipt, told em it wasn't working with my headset, I made sure to clean mine and bring everything included in immaculate condition, I got the 2 year warranty while I was at it

It's a great controller but the quality control is lacking. A lot of people reporting similar issues

It's been 4 months since I got my last replaced and the hinge on the right bumper just broke,i know I've put crazy hours into it in that span but still

I ended up using a tool set and repairing the broken bumper on one of my elite controllers.

Yeah I got the Walmart one, I didn't know it was a 3rd party one and Im probably gonna have to send it in and have them to try n fix it I might have to do the same thing like last time and do a no receipt same item exchange

nah breh....I used my credit cards rip-off warranty to get my money returned to me and I spent 4 hours on the phone with Microsoft just for them to give me a statement that said they don't personally repair the controllers. It was like pulling teeth. I mean you already ripped me off, fine at least help me get my money back through other means

Nah, I actually am familiar with the stick drift that Cocaine is talking about. In one of my Elite controllers, I had that issue. Considering I'm way past my warranty & I'm too afraid to do the "okie doke" send the controller back to best buy trick I decided to learn how to open up/dismantle my controllers and self-repair.

The left and right bumpers are actually connected. It's still plastic so the constant pressing down on the bumpers can bend the plastic and break it.

This is what it looked like dissected.

And here, after a successful replacement, I was able to salvage a fully intact bumper from an older unused controller and use it for my Elite.

Also, using a Q tip with some alcohol to clean the inner workings of the analog sticks has been shown to eliminate the stick drift. It helped for me too.

It was actually fun as shyt to do, also.

Again, this is only if the warranty is expired.

So let me get this straight, you quoted one guy 20x. You quoted another guy that is a 3dept, one dude says he bought 3 of them and they all broke within months. Yeah, that sounds like something someone would really do. This is the internet, while you can find somebody complaining about anything, you can also easily decipher what's real and what's bullshyt

This isn't a wide spread problem. Ps4 controllers breaking was widespread, ps4 systems dying happens more often. They're are more threads on this pro PlayStation website about broken things than Xbox anything. I'm not saying you didn't have issues. I'm just saying from my experience, I have not. And on the websites I frequent it wasn't a wide spread issue. Then doing a quick Google search to see, the results did not indicate this is a issue. In fact, I saw shyt like this...

so I was like cool Ill take it to my credit card because it offers an extended warranty on purchases. All they needed was a statement from microsoft that said "hey we don't repair controllers" Breh when I tell you that they REFUSED to give that statement to me in writing I mean they was serious


I spoke to supervisors upon supervisors, called back like 3 days in a row and the answer was still nope....

Now I will say that controller is the best controller ive ever gamed with, but its a piece of shyt quality wise

Now things are getting lumped into "the controller is faulty" and some of this is untrue. Yes, the drift thing was an issue for some people. Widespread to mean means 15% or more which its not. To you widespread might be a few links which isn't telling at all
Then other posters said bumpers breaking/etc. Bumpers break on all controllers. The stats show the elite controller isn't more or less likely to break than the normal controller. There is an actual story on that, I seen it when I looked earlier and I seen it on your link.

The narrative on this site from you guys is the controller is crap, I'm saying bullshyt on that. As for the customer service, I agree, the customer service is some shyt unless you know how to speak to them correctly. I been thru worse than what you described. Took my L, but I've seen how they treat people as a whole. And the competition (sony) is so much worse that I just stayed put. Like, I'm not saying they can do no wrong. But they do fix controllers. Maybe they didn't before, but they do now. So that would lead me to believe there was an issue and they decided to do something about it. I can't hate them if they do the right thing.. appears so (but I understand your frustration.. I once got beat out of a year of XBL )

How the fukk do you know what I do and do not have I HAD one, then sold it for $200 because I didn't really NEED it.
I'll cop another one if scorpio doesn't come with one which is something that has been rumored. My best friend has 4 of them (he has 5 sons) and I've used it extensively whooping all they asses in various fighting and wrestling games. You Sir Casual don't game enough on the greener side to know wtf you talking about, or to gain any experience in any game to be worth playing with.

I've asked before, never got the receipts... what game can somebody on this site vouch for you being an asset in?
