This lazy sampling of 90's hits is wack. I'm all for a unique cover or creative sample, but cats are simply relying on people's love for the original track to carry them.

Prime example, crhis brown lazy ass didn't even attempt to change the melody of his verse :snoop:

Glad someone said it because I've been thinking the same thing. The sampling is getting lazy as fukk and these rappers are using nostalgia as a crutch for their uncreative asses.

i remember listening to this and turning it off...honestly one of the worst episodes of any podcast i've ever listened to.
nothing can come good of two people having a debate about artists they are just getting to know while both artist are just starting to get their feet wet.

Joe discovering Tory Lanez through his son was like a kid with a new toy shoving it the faces of the other kids.

so there are zero traces of trap flavor in Tory Lanez's music?
no but to label him a trap rapper is lazy & completey irresponsible

his strictly rap shyt is too hit or miss for me..was surprised at how quick i threw New Toronto in the bushes.
Lost Cause and Cruel Intentions EP are still my favorites of the material he's released.

keep making good music and keep the single white female shyt with Drake to a minimum and he'll only get bigger.
I will say he at times recently has dabbed too much in the trap sound . I actually feel lost cause & conflicts are his best rap tapes.
