I am new to Tory Lanez, I just started listening to him last month or two, I fukk with his music. I think Chixtape 3 is his best work, 'Came 4 Me' is classic Tory Lanez sound, thats what I think he is best at.....He takes the Avant sample, but it's a different song concept and dope sample....Also, 'You Got It Worse' and 'Name' are standouts, they sample those classic 90's/early 2000's tracks, but adds to the beat, esp. 'Name', has a really nice little break down in the last half of the song, and he expands on the original songs concepts....His newer tracks like 'LA Confidential' show a lot of promise too. I honestly don't fukk with his 'rap'/trap' songs like that, I think the R&B is more his lane. I like him over Tiller, he has more edge, and a little more street.
Edit: Also, I was 15-15 when many of these late 90's/early 2000's were out, so it's the perfect nostalgia, with an updated sound to me.
