i don't get running with water while washing, that wastes a lot more water. either fill the sink up or if you have a big dish in there like a mixing bowl or large pot, fill it up with hot soapy water. wash everything then rinse

but i hand wash cutting/chopping knives, pots/pans, baking supplies, appliances and other food prep gadgets/tools. cups, mugs, silverware, tupperware, plates/bowls and glass storage containers go in the dishwasher.

The second method with dish liquid is usually my way of cleaning dishes/silverware but I use plastic plates throughout the week so I don't have to worry about cleaning; rarely use my real plates etc unless it's for special occasions.
sorry, i'm on my reduce waste kick. that's creating so much extra waste when you can easily clean and reuse dishes

Hand wash and then let the washer finish the job, they've purposely make dishwashers weaker now because we never had to pre wash any dishes in the 90s.
hmm, i definitely had more stuck on stuff in dishwashers growing up vs now. but i have a higher end dishwasher, i can put a burnt up pan in there and it comes out fine. i rinse or wipe things off before the dishwasher so it doesn't end up with a lot of particles backing it up, but i actually feel like dishwashers have gotten better :manny:

Sometimes I get a little lazy after eating and don't want to clean any dishes so what happens is that I would wind up leaving plates with bones/food residue in the fridge for a couple of days to a week when I have the time. So using plastic saves me time from cleaning cause I could just throw em in the trash afterward.

Myself. fukk 12(1)!
Scrape, rinse (on garbage disposal side of sink), then dishwasher.

Nice dinnerware/china gets hand washed with a soft cloth, mild detergent and warm water, and then hand dried. I put a towel in the sink to add as a buffer (so they won't scrape against the bottom).

Both. Fill the sink with hot soapy water. I let the dishes soak while Im washing them. I have a split sink. I scrub and rinse in the second sink. Wash cups, then plates, then bowls, then other. Pots and pans are last.

This quarantine shyt got me reevaluating my cleaning products :ohhh:

Palmolive Ultra Oxy Power Degreaser is pure piff :lawd: I have a habit of buying dish soap indiscriminately, the past few times have been with Ajax.... You got dirty water soup in 5 minutes :hhh:

That Palmolive is strong as hell tho :blessed: The bubbles were overwhelming the entire wash. I looked down and thought one of them was giving me the :salute: for a moment.

Me: :whoo:
