All houses don't come with courts. So the majority of the time you would have to have one built. Everyone may not want to do that, especially when you have access to pretty much any gym you want pretty much any time. Pretty sure most guys didn't think there would ever come a time when that wasn't an option.

Because the team practice facilities are usually open everyday?

Because not everyone spends their whole career with one team? Imagine the guys spending bouncing around 2 or 3 teams, nevermind guys who might be playing in a different city every year. They have to find a house that has a whole full court everytime they look for a residence? :comeon:

Above the fray.
:mindblown:

I can see if you’re living in an apartment or a non-detached dwelling ...

But if you’re in a freestanding house , how you hoop for a living and not have a basketball court ... not even a HALF COURT ?!!!
:what:
nah, unless you signed a major contract, you are purchasing property that was already built.
When you get your dollars up, then you can afford to design and build a home (with outdoor courts)

Max contract is when you have the cash and stability to get a home constructed with indoor courts.
