Howard remembers...I've been paying attention to Howard since the 80's....Dude never acknowledges the urban market like that on purpose. He knows all the names of his competition. Thats why he always name dropped Imus and Rush Limbugh and Opie and Anthony. Star beat Howard a bunch of times in the ratings and till this day Howard acts like he cant remember his name......Howard does that lack of acknowledgement sh*t on purpose.

Limbaugh & Opie and Anthony are national guys (Limbaugh being one of the top), and he worked w/ Imus.
The urban radio folks were just regional, and werent really an issue during Howards come up days...they were talking shyt when he was already established.

and Star beat Howard locally...being #1 in NYC is decent, but Stern was #1 Nationwide.

No doubt.....But Ed and Dre were still on Yo MTV till 95. They were known nationally as well. Plus they had a movie out before Howard.

^^^^If I remember correctly thats the one where Lady Saw says that she was crying over her brother when she was a kid and one caller asks her to do something nasty for Howard and she plays it off well.


Been listening to Howard since the 80's. He was the first person I ever heard talk greasy about Jesus. As an 8 year old thats a big thing. Till this day I still say fuk Howard because When he had that show that came on channel 9 in the early 90's he had 2 dudes kissing. That was the first time I had ever seen something like that. Howard was the only one I remember going in with the jokes when Magic Johnson announced he had HIV......That lil bit he did where he was mocking Magic calling all the women he had sex with prior to finding out he had HIV is classic. I was right there when OJ was in that Bronco interrupting the Knicks game.....When that prank caller who was lying about being behind the Bronco finally said "Ba Ba Booey" my mouth opened....I had witnessed the greatest phone prank ever live. Howard truly is the king
