i kinda want a new phone but i think its almost mandatory to wait till Samsung and Apple drop and make the decision based on what the big 3 have to offer vs rushing out and buying the first one available.

the most intriguing one is the S3 with its replaceable battery. i've had my iPhone 5 since late October and i'm unimpressed with the battery life and the HTC one is said to be worse.

Sometimes my phone does out in an hour. Goes from 100% to 90 in ten minutes smh.

My note 2's battery is godly. I've gotten so use to it that it will be hard to switch to a phone that doesn't have the same battery life.

Never had a Samsung device only played with an S3 but that SD slot is attracting me, both phones look dope but it might have to be an S4 for me due to that feature. For those in the know would I be missing out on any features by selecting the GS4 over the HTC One and vice versa?

There's very little difference imo, but it depends on what you favor. HTC One is the best looking phone out right now and maybe of all time even. But the S4 is the S4, packed with features and durable as well with sd slot and removeable battery. performance will be very similar between both so i think it mostly comes down to preference. If you can go into a store and have a play with both and take it from there.

the HTC One has higher build quality due to the none replaceable battery. its comparable to the iPhone 5 full uni-body aluminum. the S4 is likely gonna feel cheap and plastic like but you'll be able to replace the battery yourself.

Its literally amazing. It usually takes me 2-3 full days to fully drain the battery. One time I forgot to charge it when it had 14% battery life, and literally went 6 hours more with the phone still going strong. Plus the fact you can swap out batteries makes it godly.

Gotta cosign battery life on the One being pretty good. I've done pretty much nothing but stream video/audio, and download tons of shyt on WiFi, and a pretty stable Sprint 3g connection, and have been getting 6-7 hours of nonstop usage. It should be nothing for this phone to make it through a regular day for me.

Gotta say one of the features that's been overlooked is the keyboard. I was ready to either install Swiftkey, or go straight Swype, but the default keyboard is REALLY good.

Also on the plus side, the look of the phone is actually distinctive enough that people have asked me what it is that I'm carrying. But sadly, Samsung's marketing team is probably about to come through and crush the buildings :sadcam:

I'm fine with most people buying the plastic kid phone...leave the sophisticated James Bond status phone for extraordinary gentlemen

This thing has a beautiful design...makes my old s3 look like crap oh and its also a fantastic phone internally...a true piece of art

I wonder can i totally get rid of blinkfeed through launchers and rooting :scusthov:

Yeah, if you use any launcher other than Sense, blinkfeed gets tossed in the bushes.

If you go that route, Nova Launcher on the One is :ooh: status.

Or, you could set a different home screen as the default if you like Sense.

Breh you ain't never lied about the fukkin keyboard. It was one of the first things I noticed when I started using mine. After about 15 minutes in I just had to sit back and :noweapon:

It doesn't lag and it lets you easily add new words into the database and the autocorrect is damn near perfect :ahh:
