Damn. This isn't going to be easy.

My gameplan is to cop the S4 or HTC One and wait and see what the iPhone 6 has to offer a year from now. That's if I even want to go back to iOS after I get used to Android.

Maybe I should wait until the S4 drops and use it before I make the decision?

the decision isn't that hard for me...

i need a phone with an sd card slot and swappable battery. s4 it is.

the htc one is a nice phone, but too limited in flexibility. plus the only adv it has is gone once you put a case on both phones.

See there goes the bias again. " plus the only adv it has is gone once you put a case on both phones" Hmm lets see: vastly superior speakers, no lag :scusthov:, Better low light cam, reg cam is on par, better ppi, looks better ect. Yeah thats all it has on the S4, Get the fukk outta here with that nonsense!

See what you dont get is this. You have a bias toward the S4, there is nothing wrong with that, its a great phone. But you are LOOKING for any flaws in the One to hype your already mind up mind. Just get the S4 and be happy.

Build quality matters to me because when a drop 650 on a phone I want to feel like it's worth that much. I dont give a fukk trying to impress anyone but myself. I never been a follower.

I was rocking a HTC Nexus One for two years. I skipped out on the last one and had the Nexus 4 had an EXCELLENT camera, I would of got that. I deal with facts and not hype. Don't got time for it. I'll see what is what before the day is over with...if you want to get technical about it, sure even with battery issues, that's nothing to me. I could get a replacement battery and I keep shyt charged in my car no matter WHAT. Just how I do things. I don't like to have regrets on buying something. No SD card and no removable battery? Those aren't positive things to me. I'll be in Paris not too long from now and I don't need no bullshyt.

If those are important for you I agree get the S4, I don't have a problem with the S4 as I said it's a great phone. But it's not my style and I don't like the screen tech they use, (Touchwiz is a abomination) These are my opinions and not a fact pes say.

I just hate when samsung fanboys knock the One because they see it as a threat. They try to state their opinion as fact when It's all subjective really.

P.S. I'm not calling you a fanboy.

I'll assume you must of got the 64GB version since it has no SDcard slot..how much was that version?

people listen to music on their phone...without headphones... :dwillhuh: :pachaha:

...they're speakers on a cell phone. :beli: no serious or novice audiophile could have a reasonable expectation of a significant difference in sound.

you may have a point about camera, but there are many conflicting 'examples' of photos showing one is better than the other. imo it comes down to what settings are used on the phone, plus there's post photo processing that can improve virtually any image.

as far as i'm concerned those two issues are far more subjective than the main things separating these phones....sd card and battery. :yeshrug:

I have T-mo they don't offer the 64GB version just the 32GB, 25GB I have access too. As of now att is the only carrier that will get the 64GB version its $299 on contract.

Nobody cares about what YOU want. I had an iPhone for 4 years so before you go play fan boy just realize it's about preference. After how many year of Android, the HTC one finally made me switch it up and I couldn't be more pleased with build quality, design, software and UI. My friend has an S3 and every time I pick it up I feel like im holding a blackberry from 2005. Just a piece of shyt. And your big bad Galaxy is doing what apple has done, Just make every phone look exactly the same.

It's obvious that you have not experienced the speakers on the htc One their godly. Ask anybody who heard them it makes EVERYTHING BETTER, music, podcast, fm radio, speakerphone is crystal clear!

The stupid Samsung fans argument. There is no difference in 4.1.2 vs. 4.2 esp when are talking about skinned versions of android.

Its battery life only slightly better. Don't get upset that most reviewers prefer the godly One! :win:

And a blind stupid HTC fan argument. It's the fact that samsung supports their phones and are working to get updates on a timely basis that matters. Just wait a year from now when your HTC one and its precious build quality will be stuck on 4.1 while other phones will be on v 5.0

lol @ only slightly better. Read the verge's review about battery life between the two.
My biggest frustration with the HTC One has always been its battery. It’ll last a day, but only with a bit of hand-holding. If that’s lower-middle class, I’d say the Galaxy S4 is upper-middle class: it lasts a full day almost no matter how I use it (unless I stream HD Netflix videos constantly, in which case it dies in about five hours), and will even get me to the morning if I forget to plug it in. I rarely forget to plug my phone in every night, and I don’t mind needing to charge every night, but I’m so used to babysitting my iPhone 5 all day or watching the One’s meter hit red that not having to worry about the GS4 all day was pretty wonderful.
