While both phones pale in comparison to the Nokia Lumia 920, if your going to buy an Android phone STICK WITH SAMSUNG! HTC does a shyt job with updating their phones and these updates are what make Android a little less frustrating to use.
not to mention the One comes with an old version of Android out of the box.

:comeon: breh tell me what's the major strong points of 4.2 vs 4.1...
All the customizations the manufacturers do makes that small version point worthless

It is a non-issue as Sense 5.0 adds numerous features that surpass 4.2... It's laughable that this is even an issue. The OEM's are FAR FAR ahead of stock Android in regards to adding features that are useful.

The only thing that I really like in 4.2 is the support for group text. However, Sense 5.0 supports group text so it's a non-issue.

The htc one looks a lot better in photos then it does in person (and yeah I know that's the case for everything, but seems more obvious with this one)

You are right about that. It still looks good but the white part throws it off a bit. The black one should be great though

can't go wrong either way, but I'm loving my One.

Sammy got some good apps on the GS4, but I do like the build quality of the One. And performance wise both phones are similar. It's just user preference man. We all :eat:

There's nothing wrong with plastic on a phone IMO. The only thing I don't like about my current phone (GS3) is that Samsung decided to go with a glossy finish instead of a matte finish. Feel like I'm holding a phone with two screens on it :comeon:

But when you put on a case, or replace the back cover, none of that seems to matter anymore :ehh:

They also probably would have to sacrifice a feature like s-beam if they went with a different build material (aluminum). I think it has to be plastic in order for it to work? That may be another factor (other than cheapness) holding them back.
