That's the main problem are we going to have to force businesses to not do that? Is that possible?
There are laws against price gouging. For example if there is a hurricane, the laws of supply and demand can allow me to charge 10 dollars a liter, but that's just illegal. People in Alberta make at a minimum 16 bucks an hour and aside from their rent being disgusting, everything there is just a little bit more expensive. you may pay 50-60 cents more at a fast food joint for a meal, but you have way more gwap.

How would it work tho. Im not saying you're wrong. But lets say, mim wage goes up to 11 an hour. Would things really be THAT much more expensive?

10.55 an hour plus tips? :rudy:
Thats 1668 a month. If you get lets say 50 dollars worth of tips a day das a extra stack. so thats 2688 a month.
Thats enough to live off in the majority of the country

Things would cost a few cents to a dollar more but you're making significantly more than that. You'd be paying more for stuff but you'd have significantly more money to spend. Corporations like to talk about inflation but won't tell you that you could more than afford the inflation that would come with the increased prices. @Broke Wave broke it down in the thread already

How bout u shut the fucc up chink bytch

Out here u can get a apartment in the suburbs for 450-550. So yes, even without that extra stack from tips, you can still be ite with 10.55 an hour.

waiters dont get taxed for most of their tips and if you live in the suburbs and commute to SF then you'll be living comfortable on that. if it's any other job then it might be tough for them to make a living on that in the bay.
