Hmmm....Than, I guess folks can stop trying to criticize Google for trying to open their own store.

The only true compatible platform is the PC, if you guys are so worried about playing most games from the past...get one.

All these hoops people are going through are not worth it.

Y'all do realize that both the Xbox1's & PS4's CPU isn't powerful enough to emaluate Xbox360 or PS3 games? There is NO CHANCE the Xbox1 will be able to play retail or digital Xbox360 games natively.

The only way that the Xbox1 can play Xbxo360 natively would be if there was a Xbox360 SoC in the Xbox1. But that would only increase the price of making the Xbox1. So, either they jack-up the price of the Xbox1 another $100 or they take a even bigger loss of money on each Xbox1 sold.

I just don't see it happening.
Who knows. they know the xbox360 inside and out. the xbox one cpu is not strong enough to do full emulation, but it wouldn't be necessary if Microsoft can Translate the cpu cycles/ calculations in real time. with 8cored cpu its definitely possible but its a matter of doing the work.

Its not like were dealing with the Ps2 cpu here.... the xbox360 is based off the power-pc platform, converting everything to the x86 format isn't easy and time-consuming but is possible. emulating the gpu wouldn't be that hard at all on a dx11 gpu from the same maker.

but all in all Microsoft knew all of this before making the xbox one and if they where serious with backwards compatibility they would off been announced support :manny:

They Do??!!!!! What's the point of that? They don't have the loyal dedicated fanbase like Apple does.
I went to the one in san francisco and I was surprised how packed it was. It's kinda like a big box store bc they sell everything electronic and software related, but it's got that boutique look to it. I will say I felt out of place because everybody wore hipster shyt.

You do realize that the CPU in the PS4 & Xbox1 is meant for tablets, netbooks, laptops, & mini-pc's? There's not a high-end CPU on the market powerful to emulate the Xbox360's CPU, but we're discussing the possibility of a CPU meant for low-powered devices as doing it. :snoop:

really not sure what your getting at? i already said the cpu is not capable of doing full emulation .
