On another note, I just realized ESPN let go of Mike Hill.

Awful Announcing has learned that Mike Hill has been let go by ESPN. An official statement from ESPN says it was a "mutual decision with and by Mike and ESPN. We wish him the best in his next chapter."

The ESPN Radio show that he co-hosted with Mark Schlereth that was titled "Hill & Schlereth" will now be known as "Schlereth & Company."

Sources have informed Awful Announcing that Hill was called into ESPN offices and was told that he was being let go at the end of his contract which management had thought was in a month. However, Hill's contract was to expire in June 2014.

Both parties decided it was best for Hill to leave immediately instead of remaining until 2014. The Big Lead had earlier reported via Twitter Hill and ESPN were parting ways.

Mike confirmed to a tweeter that he is indeed leaving Bristol.

Its still two shows a week they were at the nabj conference or whatever that's why they weren't on the show or did a second podcast last week. Even though I thought they did one why they were down there. Maybe Hugh was on it I don't know but if you listen to Mike on H&H from yesterday you can tell he wanted to say something when they were talking about forgiveness.
