They made Menace 2 Society, Dead Presidents and Book of Eli. :smh:

Albert has stated that although 'People wanted to hear from us because we were black not because we were half Armenian,' he considers his artistic ability to come from the Armenian side of his family

The Huges brothers often talk about their Armenian background. In a 2005 interview with Hrag Vartanian, Albert Hughes said, “One thing [our Armenian side] did was to provide an audience. When we began making movies, they were supportive. While the black side was not open to us because we were half white, the Armenian half always welcomed us. I attribute generosity and humbleness to Armenians… Is that a trait of the culture…Armenians, in my opinion, are generous to a fault. I’ve never been greedy and that comes from my Armenian side”

“People were hailing us as the new school of black directors. I hated that. For one, we’re half Armenian, half black. For another, that’s offensive. We wouldn’t pose with other young black directors, because you wouldn’t do that with, say, Italian directors” (see “‘Book of Eli’ directors Allen and Albert Hughes open up” by Scott Bowles, USA Today, Jan. 14, 2010).

"Everybody wanna be a nikka, but nobody wants to be a nikka".

They had no problem making movies/money based on a segment of the Black experience, but now they wanna throw their black half in the bushes :childplease:

fukk those guys.

They made "Menace II Society" which is an entertainment classic, but so much negativity in that film.

"They tried to act white on me:pachaha:"

c00n azz nikkas actin white on us all now:pacspit:

In the current issue of VIBE, Allen Hughes (on the left) breaks his silence regarding the 1993 altercation between he and Tupac. Their dispute stemmed from Pac losing the role of “Shariff” in their film, Menace II Society. Pac was later convicted of assault and battery.

“The biggest misnomer is that me and Tupac got into any fight. It was me and 12 Crips that he got to jump me. He didn’t do shyt,” Allen claims. “Tupac didn’t lay a hand on me. I had my hands on him. But there was not a physical fight between me and Tupac. It was a physical fight between me and 12 gangbangers. I believe they are called the Rolling 40s and they rolled me up pretty good.”

“Tupac was an artist. Tupac was not a gangbanger. Tupac could not fight to save his motherfukking life. I know that for a fact. He was an immensely gifted person and he was far, far, from a thug.” He lets out a deep sigh. “I think that’s just years of frustration that just came out.”

I'd bet they'd pose with some white directors, bet they wouldn't be offended about their black side being neglected.:mjpls:

But they ARE bi-racial, doesn't seem like they're completely shunning their black side (otherwise they wouldn't have made some of the movies they have)

Just acknowledging the fact that they're were two sides to their upbringing, that is assuming they still upheld Armenian culture while growing up.

I figured they where mixed, they always came off like some cornball ass nikkas..

Nothing wrong with claiming and being proud of your heritage
but breh, those comments reek of bougieness and arrogance....
and they just low key shytted on all the black audience who basically made them relevant in the 1st...smh

one of the reason i cant really rock with mulattoes or get them(not saying they all like that)...they want to pick and choose when to be nikkaS but completely throw us under the bus when its lease convenient......like i said Nothing wrong with claiming and being proud of your heritage, but be consistent with it...
