That Armenian shyt is ALL because they're speaking to Armenian Weekly. It's 2013 and most people in this thread (and in the world at large) had no idea they were Armenian. If they were really more proud of their Armenian heritage wouldn't they have trumped this up long before now? Surely, during the Menace II Society and Dead Presidents days I can see why they'd repress this pride, but as they tried to get more mainstream with movies like From Hell and Book of Eli....why didn't they trump up their beloved Armenian heritage then?
As far as not wanting to be pictured with Black directors, I think they stated exactly why: they found it to be offensive. And they have a legit beef there. Hollywood, probably more than any other industry is good for typecasting and pigeonhole-ing people into certain roles and genres. Similar to RGIII saying "hey, don't just lump me in with 'black quarterbacks' and compare me to Cam Newton....I want to be compared to Aaron Rodgers"
