Complex legacy at best

We all knew the past decade when this day would come, lot of wrestling fans especially black ones werent gonna be mourning him. That said its interesting just in the past 15 mins people I know who dont follow wrestling extensivley are surprised I said its a complicated legacy he holds.


If you were an 80s baby or any era he was the most famous wrestler out there and maybe he was your favorite at one point. For many black wrestling fans who loved him and even those who werent he died a long time ago.


Kinda crazy he died exactly on the 10 year anniversary of his firing and the tapes coming out (July 23rd/24). He had a decade to get right with people and he didnt. Hes kind of a lesson in not doing right with people and how you can do everything and if not the right thing people will forget all that when you go.

We can do that another day. I don't want to sign his praises now, at least something must hurt his legacy after the way he acted in real life talk to me in 3 months in a random thread about the WWF's expansion and I'll gladly expand on Hogan's role in it
