Oh yeah...cant let this slide.
McMahon was interviewed for The Real Hulk Hogan and spoke about the matter, which saw WWE take Hogan out of the Hall of Fame although he was reinstated in 2018. You can see highlights of McMahon’s comments below, per Fightful:
On his reaction to the tape: “It was unforgivable and I was agasp, ‘What happened?’ When those things occurred, that’s not like him. ‘What in God’s name is going on?’”
On WWE cutting ties with Hogan then: “As soon as it happened, obviously, the company didn’t have anything to do with him anymore. We took him out of the Hall of Fame. You just don’t do those things.”
On Hogan’s Hall of Fame reinstatement in 2018: “I knew he wasn’t racist. I’ve been with him for so many years. He wasn’t racist. He said some racist things. He should pay for that, and he did. In the end, I think everyone saw the real Hulk Hogan, Terry Bollea, and they felt, ‘Wait a minute, this guy doesn’t act like a racist. He’s not a racist.’ We all make mistakes. That was a big one, but he wasn’t a racist.”

Vince lives in Vince world. I guarantee you he truly believes what he's saying and has no idea of the racist stuff HOEgan has done recently. Having said that Vince should've kept his mouth shut, especially since his own track record of racial sensitivity is spotty at best. Vince finally started to push all of his black talent instead of the one at a time approach he usually did, but it took to long and with him gone it's gone back to shyt under TKO.

He held back Sasha for too long but decided to put Bianca over everyone. Nitpicking type shyt again. I remember he did commentary on the Raw before the original Taboo Tuesday in 2004 and he put over Shelton Bajnamin huge during and after the match but by June 2005..they started a losing streak story that turned into a Mama's Boy gimmick. Shelton Benjamin who can shoot beat the living shyt out of Batista, Cena, and Blandy in 05. Crazy.

Which is why I always said Vince was the most frustrating, because he knew exactly what to do but would purposely do the opposite just to be difficult.

Basically :manny:
Tony Atlas posted under those stories that Hulk was one of his best friends, and they misconstrued his statements. Most black wrestlers who worked with Hulk in the 80s have had nothing but good things to say and how he looked out for them.
