What's funny is had that tape never leaked, his death probably would've triggered a fandom-wide rehab of his image within the IWC. Like he'd still be considered a carny politicking douche but it would probably be looked at as more wacky and endearing

That man had 10 years to come up with an apology and he basically doubled down on it

He was so racist he couldn’t even utter the words “I’m sorry for what I said, it was wrong for me to say and I will educate myself and better myself for that segment of my fanbase who deserve and expect better of me.”

This is true breh. I know he went on his "only love" kick on Twitter for a while after he got exposed and apologized. But I personally would have liked to have seen something more from him.

I remember going to a SD in 2003 in OKC when I was in college. Hogan was hot on his red/yellow nostalgia run at that time. I had incredible seats, i was 2nd row but at times during the show I was front row on the security rail on the TV side. Hogan was getting beat down (maybe by HHH, I can't remember) and leaning over the ropes. I was cheering him on and I swear he looked dead-eye right at me in that moment while he was selling
As a Hogan fan since a kid, that was awesome.
