After the murders? Everywhere :dwillhuh:
POLARIZING tho?:mjlol:

Views on Benoit are pretty damn near unanimous breh:mjlol: It was definitely never to the point where you have people going back and forth like this. This Hogan back and forth will never end in an already see it:pachaha:

But Benoit? Polarizing? Nah I ain't ever seen that:mjlol: And this is someone who thought Benoit was the goat worker

I think Benoit was moreso polarizing amongst the actual wrestlers imo.

Was a ton of shoots/interviews back then with MFs trying to give him passes, blaming it on cte, drugs, etc.

Benoit was polarizing in that people really wanna give him his props for being an amazing wrestler, but you can't even do that without people looking at you sideways.

You talking about shoot interviews. Shoot interviews niche as fukk. Nikkas everywhere going at each other's throats over this Hogan shyt:russ:

Shoot interviews are/were the same as podcasts.

This was 07 breh.

And also Hogan is arguably the biggest star of all time. Benoit was not. He didn’t crossover like Hogan so i’m not saying amongst everyone, I’m talking about their fanbases/wrestling industry.

Outside of Benoit this might be the most polarizing wrestling death ever

50% are doing the stanky leg on his grave
25% are paying tribute
25% of the others saying his legacy was complicated while still paying tribute

In wrestling circles, I'm seeing a lot of support. I mean that's no surprise but I'm seeing a lot more support and "I don't care what he said, he's a legend" than I am anything else.

Fans? I don't know. We're all fans but this is The Coli. Last night in Cleveland, most of those cacs were standing and applauding.

It's definitely polarizing but I don't know what percentage I would put on it

The thing is, I can't wake up on a Saturday morning and say I'm going to have a bowl of cereal and watch a Hogan match on Peacock or YouTube, to escape and relive my childhood hero...because of the comments he made.

And therefore, no one has the right to tell me, or any black person, how we should feel.

I could accept a sincere apology, BUT Black ppl need to see real actions along with said apology. The incident with the beer model girl last year just was like, damn, bro.

End of the day, his legacy in wrestling doesn't mean everything gets overlooked. We all love wrestling. But it's something we watch 1-2x a week. We are Black everyday 24/7.
