The very essence of the argument is that it's impersonal; you DON'T know these people, you don't hold them on a pedestal and therefore you are able to take their fictional or artistic contributions while simultaneously saying fucck the individual. These things are not mutually exclusive.
Secondly, I never said the entire thing is racist, no more than every other sporting league and Hollywood is an Ol Boys Club that didn't want integration. Plenty of racists exposed there and people condemn the individuals and practices and are right there watching the game on Sunday or buying a ticket to watch a movie.
