Why would it be glossed over ? because Hogan basically ran most of the 80s and no one was allowed to go over him ?
Despite that fact , Savage has alot more on his resume then the mega powers angle and the steamboat match at WM3 even during that time period he has alot more ..and it had zero to do with hogan...
Macho basically went from an unknown to IC champion in about 7-8 months,that was unheard of back in those times,within 4 months of being in the WWF was main eventing with Hogan across the country..Also unheard of back then,most of the No 1 contenders had to put in years before they got hogan...
He also was main eventing against him in title for title matches which never happened in the mid 80s...Vince basically said macho is so big and has so much heat that we can put his title up against hogans in those main events...
You cant gloss over anything he did not even during hulkamania...
